Hyderabad: Telangana School Education Department has launched a new program. Watsap chatbot was developed under 'Intinta Chhudhuvalu Crop', which allows students of classes 1-8 to take weekly exams.
Chatbot is designed to provide quality education to children at home in view of school closure due to epidemic. This allows students in the weekly exam which will have eight questions from any two subjects. Currently, weekly exams are limited to English and mathematics for students of classes 1-8 and will soon be expanded to other subjects.
Every week, students can practice up to 10 questions of both subjects. After the practice, the answer keys will be sent with the correct answers," state project director, Samagam Shiksha, Telangana, and School Education Commissioner A Sridevasan told a letter. The chatbot also sends relevant video links to students.
Live dashboard has also been developed to monitor the performance of all students who conducted weekly tests using chatbots. As of Sunday, 27,546 students had used the Watsap chatbot, of which 25,859 completed at least one week's test. Hyderabad recorded the highest number of participants, while Mulugu and Nagerkurnul participated the lowest.
