Dehradun: An incident involving the murder of an old woman by slitting her throat has come to light in the Premnagar area of Dehradun, Uttarakhand. After this incident, there was a stir in the area. As soon as the news of the case was received, the police reached the spot, took the dead body into custody, and started investigating the matter by sending it for a postmortem. This incident is being told of April 12 evening. The police have arrested the culprit.

According to reports, 77-year-old Manjeet Kaur was murdered because she refused to lend money to the criminal. The criminal got angry at this. He entered the old woman's house under the influence of alcohol and killed the woman by slitting her throat with a vegetable knife. After committing the crime, the criminal fled from the spot. Disclosing the incident, SSP Dehradun said, The criminal, Pankaj, had a lot of debt. Thereafter, the old lady refused to lend him money. On the evening of April 12, the criminal reached the woman's house in an inebriated state and once again asked for money. But the woman flatly refused. Then he slit the old woman's throat with a knife kept on the table. To catch the killer, the police searched 350 CCTVs and got a clue about the culprit on April 17. Thereafter, he was arrested.

On the same CCTV, the police saw a suspect. The police collected his information through an informer. Thereafter, the criminal Pankaj Sharma, alias Bittu, was arrested and interrogated, and he confessed to his crime. The criminal, Pankaj, told the police that an elderly woman used to live in her neighbourhood. He had borrowed Rs 10,000 from the woman, which he was not able to repay for a long time. Apart from this, he had also taken a loan from the bank. He had been paying its installments for a long time. Meanwhile, in need of more money, he had reached out to the woman to borrow. The police are probing Pankaj's criminal history. It is being said that he suffered a lot in business during the Corona era. Due to this, he was in debt. The SSP has announced a reward for the police team that disclosed this case.
