Bhopal: The news of a big boat accident is coming in Agar Malwa, Madhya Pradesh. Here five people died due to drowning in Patchet Dam. Two girls, two women and a boy were among those who lost their lives in the accident. The accident took place on Wednesday in Tillar Dam located in Agar-Malwa district of Madhya Pradesh.
State Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, while expressing grief over the incident, has also announced compensation for the victim's family. CM Shivraj tweeted from his official Twitter handle and wrote, 'There was sad news of the death of five civilians due to drowning in Patheti Dam of Agar district. May God give peace to their souls and give strength to the family to bear this sorrow. I have instructed the families of the deceased to provide financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh and funeral aid of Rs 5000.'
According to the sources, it is said that a family was going to Bari Mata temple in a small boat. Their boat got uncontrolled and overturned in the Tillar Dam near the village Lakhkheri in the Kanad police station area, causing a major accident. 5 family members died due to drowning in this accident.
