Recently 11 students from the northeast Indian state of Meghalaya have arrived in New Delhi after being stuck in Ukraine due to the Russian invasion.Conrad Sangma, the chief minister of Meghalaya, verified this on Tuesday afternoon.

"11 Meghalaya students studying in Ukraine have arrived safely in Delhi," stated Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma. In a flight bringing Indian citizens trapped in Ukraine from Hungary, the Meghalaya students landed in New Delhi.

Students from India's northeast state of Sikkim, who had been trapped in war-torn Ukraine, are expected to return in the state later on Sunday.Avishkar Sharma, a native of Pendam in the Gangtok Tehsil of Sikkim, arrived in New Delhi on an emergency aircraft from Budapest, Romania.

Moreover, at least three Sikkimese students who were trapped in Ukraine have crossed into Poland, where they would take a flight to New Delhi, according to officials.
