New Delhi: After taking action against the accused who dragged Anjali for 12 km in a car in Kanjhawala, the national capital Delhi, the Delhi Police personnel who were on duty on January 1 have now been reprimanded. All those 11 policemen posted on PCR and picket in Rohini district have been suspended.

According to the report, earlier after the report of senior Delhi Police officer Shalini Singh, the Union Home Ministry had instructed the police to take action. Based on the seriousness of the case and the available evidence, police have been directed to investigate the matter by imposing section 302 i.e. murder on the accused in the Kanjhawala case. According to sources, the report in this regard was prepared by the Delhi Police on the instructions of the Ministry of Home Affairs. After receiving the report, the Ministry of Home Affairs has given this important order to the Delhi Police. It is being told that the MHA has given instructions to take action against the policemen present in the police picket and PCR.

On behalf of the ministry, it has been said that at the time when this incident took place, the DCP of the area should clarify what were the law and order arrangements. If there is no proper answer, then action should be taken against them also. Another instruction states that adequate lighting should be arranged in the areas around the crime scene.
