Zomato is a very popular food delivery app in the country, which people use to order their favorite food. Now the company has introduced a new feature for its users, through which users can now schedule their order in advance. This facility is now available in 7 major cities of the country and includes Delhi NCR, Bangalore, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Lucknow, and Jaipur.
Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal announced this new feature on social media platform X. He posted, "Now you can plan your meals better by ordering up to two days in advance, and we'll deliver it right on time." This feature allows users to schedule their meals in advance, allowing them to easily manage their delivery according to their busy schedules.
Deepender Goyal said that the company is considering expanding this new service to other cities and restaurants as well. However, recently Zomato shut down its inter-city food delivery service and hyperlocal delivery service 'Extreme'. These services were launched in October last year, but now the company has shut them down.
Zomato's food delivery business has been in a very strong position in recent times. In the first quarter of this year, the company's food delivery revenue has increased by 41 percent to Rs 1942 crore. At the same time, the revenue of the company's quick commerce division Blinkit has also increased to Rs 942 crore in this segment. It is clear from these figures that Zomato's food delivery business is growing rapidly, even though some services have been discontinued. Zomato's new scheduling feature allows users to plan their food better. With this new feature, Zomato has taken a step towards improving its services even more, and through this the company has provided more convenience and flexibility to its users.
