Which was also passed unanimously.

At the same time, the Mainpuri District Panchayat has also passed a resolution to rename the district. In a meeting of the Zilla Panchayat Board in Aligarh, Kehri Singh and Umesh Yadav had moved a proposal to rename Aligarh as 'Harigarh,' which was unanimously passed by all the members. In Mainpuri too, the members of the Zilla Panchayat proposed to name Mainpuri as Mayan Nagar because of Mayan Rishi's Tapo Bhoomi.

During the meeting, there was also a protest by some Zilla panchayat members over the renaming of Mainpuri. However, after getting a majority of Zilla panchayat members, district panchayat president Archana Bhadauria passed a resolution to name Mainpuri as Mayan Nagar.
