Mumbai police have arrested Vaibhav Pandya in a significant case where he is accused of cheating his stepbrothers, cricketers Hardik and Krunal Pandya, out of approximately ₹ 4 crore in a business deal. According to media reports, 37-year-old Vaibhav is alleged to have diverted around ₹4 crore from a partnership firm, causing substantial financial losses for Hardik and Krunal Pandya.

The accusations include diverting funds and violating partnership terms. It's reported that the three of them jointly established a polymer business three years ago under specific terms: Hardik and Krunal were to invest 40% of the capital each, while Vaibhav would contribute 20% and oversee daily operations. Profits were to be divided according to these shares. However, Vaibhav supposedly established another company in the same industry without informing his stepbrothers, thus breaching the partnership agreement. the Mumbai police have charged Vaibhav Pandya with cheating and forgery related to these actions. Currently, both cricketer brothers are occupied with their IPL responsibilities. Hardik Pandya captains the Mumbai Indians, while Krunal has delivered notable performances for his team.
