Meta is constantly working on new features to improve the experience of its users. This time some such features have been added to Whatsapp, which will make your chatting and file transfer experience even better. So let's know about the new features in detail....​

Now it has become easy to react to status on WhatsApp like Instagram and Facebook. Earlier you had to send a message to reply to someone's status, but now you will be able to give like, love, or other reactions directly on the status.

How to react to WhatsApp Status

Go to the Status section: Open WhatsApp and go to the Status section.

Start viewing a status: Click the status you want to react to.

Click the reaction icon. Below Status, click the Heart icon next to the comment section.

Select Reaction: From here you can select any reaction like like, love etc. As soon as your reaction is seen, its color 
will change from red to green.

This feature is currently available on the beta version of WhatsApp and can be rolled out for all users soon. Apart from this, you can also send the emoji or avatar of your choice by clicking on emoji and avatar.

People Nearby feature

Meta is bringing a new feature to WhatsApp called People Nearby. This feature is especially useful when you need to transfer files without the internet.

How to use People Nearby feature: Activate the feature: To activate this feature, you have to give some permissions to WhatsApp. You have to allow the terms and conditions so that this feature can take your basic information like name, date of birth and location.

Connect devices: Devices around you will be able to sense and connect to your phone.

File Transfer: Through this feature you can easily transfer photos, videos, documents etc. without the need of internet.

This feature is currently in the testing phase and is available in WhatsApp's Android beta version 2.24.9.22. It is expected to be rolled out to all users soon. These new features of WhatsApp will make your chatting and file transfer experience even better. Reacting to status and transferring files without internet will now become even easier. These features will soon be available to all users.
