Dehradun: PM Narendra Modi is on a 2-day visit to Uttarakhand. Prime Minister Modi visited Kedarnath Dham this morning and offered prayers there and laid the foundation stone of the Gaurikund-Kedarnath Ropeway to be built at a cost of Rs 1267 crore. Thereafter, Prime Minister Modi went to Badrinath and then laid the foundation stone of several projects in Mana village. During this, while addressing the public, Prime Minister Modi said that this decade is the decade of Uttarakhand. I have come to Uttarakhand with new projects and new resolve. He said that Mana village as he is settled on the village and border is the watchdog of the country.
Prime Minister Modi said, "Today, after seeing Baba Kedar and Badri Vishal ji, the mind became happy, life became blessed. Mana village is known as the last village of India, but for me, every village on the border is the first village in the country. There are two major pillars of the making of a developed India of the 21st century. First - proud of our heritage, second - every effort for development.''
Further, Prime Minister Modi said, "On the completion of 75 years of the country's independence, I made a call at the Red Fort, this call is for complete freedom from the mentality of slavery. This is because even after so many years of independence, our country is so gripped by the mentality of slavery that some work of progress feels like a crime to some people.'' Prime Minister Modi said, "These people used to admire places related to their culture in foreign countries, but in India such work was looked down upon. These centres of faith are not just a framework but are like life forces for us. It is such a force for us, who keeps us alive even in the most difficult situations.''
