New Delhi: Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag has named the top four teams he believes will make it to the semi-finals of the ICC World Cup 2023. The much awaited competition is scheduled to begin on October 5, 2023, at Narendra Modi Stadium, with the defending champions England taking against New Zealand.
India, Pakistan, Australia, and England were the semi-finalists that Sehwag predicted. Sehwag believes that England, the current champions, is the favourite to win the competition. Sehwag also believes that India, known for their great performances in comfortable settings, has a decent chance of winning their third World Cup.

Sehwag expressed his conviction that Rohit Sharma's team will have a similar emotional drive to win the tournament for Virat Kohli during the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023, just as the Indian team played with great tenacity in the 2011 World Cup for Sachin Tendulkar.
Sehwag added that the India-Pakistan game is of greatest significance and that both sides will be under immense pressure. He highlighted the significance of handling pressure well, suggesting that the team that performs better under pressure will prevail.
