The UP government has once again opened the portal for subsidies on the purchase of electric vehicles. This means that now you can easily avail the subsidy, provided you are able to apply online on the portal.

More than 1,000 applications have been made: More than 1,000 people have applied on this portal so far. Let us tell you that only those people will be able to avail of this subsidy who have applied online. If you have also bought an electric vehicle or are planning to buy one, then you will be able to apply by visiting this portal as soon as possible.

Problem in applying? This is the solution:  Many people are also facing problems while applying. On this, the Transport Department has to say that the portal is working properly, but there may be local network problems. If you are facing problems in applying, you can contact your nearest vehicle dealer or RTO/AARTO office. From there, you will get help in the application process.

On which vehicles will subsidy be available? Subsidy on electric vehicles will be given only once. This means that you can get subsidy only on purchasing one two-wheeler, four-wheeler, e-bus, or goods carrier. If you are an aggregator or fleet operator, then you will get subsidy on purchasing a maximum of 10 two-wheelers, 10 four-wheelers, and 5 e-buses or e-goods carriers.

Those who have already taken subsidy will not get the benefit: It is important to note that those who have already availed of the subsidy on buying an EV will not get the benefit again. Therefore, if you have taken the subsidy earlier, then there is no need to apply this time.

In this connection, the government had issued an order in July in which it was said to give subsidy on the purchase of electric vehicles. How much subsidy will you get?:   Under the UP Government's Electric Vehicle Policy, if you buy an electric car, you will also get a subsidy of up to Rs 1 lakh. At the same time, if you buy an electric two-wheeler, you will be given a subsidy of up to Rs 50 thousand.

The government implemented this policy in October 2022 and plans to extend it till 2027. From this, it is clear that electric vehicle buyers will continue to get subsidy for the next few years.
