The results of the high school and intermediate exams administered by the Uttar Pradesh Board are still pending announcement. The UP Board reported that it has already checked more than 1.25 crore copies, which is good news for the students.

According to UP Board Secretary Dibyakant Shukla, the exam papers would be assessed till 1 April. The board is exerting every effort to complete the evaluation process before the deadline. The training module was successful this time, and as a result of the training, the examiners are not having any issues evaluating the copies, according to the UP board secretary.

For the evaluation of copies, the board has assigned 1,43,933 examiners around the state. Moreover, reserve examiners have been retained.

A total of 3.19 billion answer sheets will be evaluated by 1.44 lakh examiners at 258 evaluation locations across the state. Also, extensive preparations have been made to ensure the security of these facilities and examiners.

For the first time, an audio-video presentation was used to instruct the examiners and deputy head examiners, as well as their deputy controllers, to ensure that the answer sheets could be examined flawlessly and impartially. One static magistrate has also  been appointed at the evaluation centres, said Divyakant Shukla.

The security arrangements for the evaluation centres have also been given strict consideration. A 100-meter zone has been set aside for Section-144 to be in effect around the evaluation centres.

Also, plans have been made to deploy at least four armed police guards as well as members of the local intelligence unit who are dressed in plain clothes until the evaluation period.

A provision has been developed to monitor the evaluation process, similar to how the board exams were performed with CCTV cameras and audio recordings.

The evaluation process will be required to be monitored by CCTV and a voice recorder. In order to properly supervise the evaluation, arrangements have also been created for continuous monitoring of all the centres from control rooms at the district and state levels.
