New Delhi: The University Grants Commission (UGC) is actively seeking input and recommendations regarding the proposed Minimum Mandatory Disclosure guidelines for Universities and Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). This initiative was addressed during the 572nd UGC meeting, with members unanimously endorsing the call for feedback. Individuals interested in contributing their thoughts, comments, and suggestions are encouraged to do so via email at feedbackcppii@gmail.com. The deadline for submitting comments is set for November 15, 2023.

The UGC underscores that this draft document outlines the principles aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP 2020). It places a strong emphasis on transparency, public accessibility, and the effective utilization of technology within HEIs to enhance operational efficiency.

As outlined in the draft, every Higher Education Institution (HEI) is expected to feature eleven distinct categories on their websites. These categories encompass 'About Us,' 'Administration,' 'Academics,' 'Admissions and Fees,' 'Research,' 'Student Life,' 'Ombudsman Details,' 'Campus Wellbeing and Harmony,' 'Alumni,' 'Information Hub,' 'Image Gallery,' and 'Contact Information.'

Under the 'About Us' section, institutions are required to provide insights into their development plans, annual reports, affiliated constituent units, off-campus and offshore campus details, accreditation, and ranking information. Meanwhile, the 'Administration' category must furnish details about key personnel such as the chancellor, vice-chancellor, pro-vice-chancellor, registrar, and other significant figures within the university or college.

The 'Academics' category will feature academic calendars for various sessions and programs. Additionally, the 'Admissions and Fees' section should offer comprehensive information and links related to ongoing admission procedures, with the prospectus readily available.
