The ongoing controversy regarding the use of adulterated ghee in the Laddu prasadam at the famous Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) in Andhra Pradesh has stirred significant public anger across the nation. Social media has become a platform for heated debates as individuals express their views on the situation.
On September 20, Pawan Kalyan raised concerns about claims that animal fat was being mixed into the prasadam. In response, actor Prakash Raj advised Kalyan, who also serves as the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, to avoid escalating the matter to a national level until the responsible parties are identified and punished.
This exchange ignited a fierce war of words, with Kalyan questioning whether his comments had attacked any religion and challenging Raj's understanding of his statements. Currently working on a film abroad, Prakash Raj addressed Kalyan’s remarks in a video posted on social media. He said, "Dear @PawanKalyan garu, I saw your press meeting... it's surprising how my comments were misinterpreted. I'm currently shooting abroad, but I’ll respond to your questions when I return. In the meantime, I urge you to review my previous tweet for clarity." He also questioned Kalyan's interpretation of his initial message.
Kalyan criticized those who exploit secularism to stir up controversy and urged the public to respect religious sentiments. He further expressed concerns over attacks on Sanatana Dharma and Hindu deities, questioning whether people would dare to make similar comments about other religions. Kalyan also advocated for the establishment of a board dedicated to safeguarding Sanatana Dharma.
