A case of murder of a married woman has come to light on Wednesday in Parsa Ward 1 of Supaul Sadar police station area. The body of the deceased was found hanging from a noose, and the in-laws have fled from the spot. The deceased has been identified as 22-year-old Shabana, who was the wife of Mo Asim. They were married two years ago and they also have a seven-month-old daughter.
Opposition to illicit relations
The deceased's parents say that Shabana's husband Mo Asif had recently invited a girl from Surat in Gujarat to his house. Shabana opposed this illegal relationship. After this, her parents called a panchayat and decided to send the girl back to Surat. After the panchayat's decision, the girl was sent back, but this increased the dispute between Shabana and her husband. During this dispute on Tuesday night, Asif hanged Shabana and killed her.
After Shabana's murder, her in-laws absconded
The family members of Shabana came to know about this incident at around 1 o'clock in the night. When they reached Shabana's in-laws' house, her body was lying on the floor of the house and all the members of the in-laws' house had fled. The police was informed about this matter. Shabana's family members have said that her husband's illicit relationship was the reason behind the murder.
Police action
Supaul Sadar SHO Arun Kumar said that the deceased died under suspicious circumstances. The police have taken the body into custody and sent it for postmortem. After the postmortem report, the cause of death will be clear and further action will be taken.
