In a heartfelt post on Instagram, Swift shared her thoughts on the situation for the first time. "The cancellation of my Vienna shows filled me with a new sense of fear," she admitted, expressing deep concern for her fans who had eagerly anticipated the performances. The threat, which led to the arrests of three individuals allegedly connected to a plot inspired by the Islamic State group, forced the cancellation of three concerts in the Austrian capital.

The 34-year-old singer-songwriter, who just completed the European leg of her Eras Tour at Wembley Stadium in London, conveyed her relief that no lives were lost due to the quick actions of the authorities. "I was devastated by the cancellations, but I was also incredibly grateful to the authorities. Thanks to their efforts, we were mourning concerts and not lives," she wrote, emphasizing her appreciation for the love and unity shown by her fans in the face of such adversity.

Swift highlighted that the safety of her fans was her top priority as she continued her tour. "I knew I had to focus all my energy on ensuring the safety of nearly half a million fans who attended the London shows," she explained. She expressed her gratitude to her team, stadium staff, and British authorities, who worked tirelessly to ensure the safety of everyone involved.

Addressing why she chose to wait before speaking out, Swift clarified, "I didn't want to say anything publicly that could potentially provoke those who might wish harm on my fans. In situations like this, silence is a form of restraint, and I wanted to wait until the right time to speak. My priority was finishing the European tour safely, and I'm relieved that we accomplished that."

Swift's performances at Wembley were historic, with the singer breaking records for the most shows by a solo artist at the venue, surpassing the previous record set by Michael Jackson in 1988. Her final show also matched the overall record for the most nights at Wembley on a single tour, a milestone previously achieved by Take That in 2011.

As she wraps up her European tour, Swift's next stop on The Eras Tour is scheduled for October 18 in Miami, Florida.
