NCP working president Supriya Sule has accused BJP that the party is also insulting former Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik. Supriya Sule also alleged that BJP has implicated Ajit Pawar group. Supriya Sule called BJP a 'corrupt Jumla party'. This statement of Supriya Sule has come after the letter of state Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis, which Fadnavis had written to Ajit Pawar. Responding to this, Supriya Sule said, 'I have read the letter and the way Nawab Malik has been insulted is wrong.' 

Differences in Maharashtra government regarding Nawab Malik!:  Reports say that on December 7, NCP leader Nawab Malik has attended the winter session of the Assembly. Meanwhile, he sat with the MLAs of Ajit Pawar faction on the ruling side in the Assembly. After this, it is being speculated that Nawab Malik is going to join Ajit Pawar group. Amidst these speculations, state Deputy CM and BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis has written a letter to the state's other Deputy CM and NCP faction leader Ajit Pawar. In this letter, Fadnavis has advised that Ajit Pawar should not include Nawab Malik in his party. 

Fadnavis has written a letter demanding this: Fadnavis has written about this - 'It is your right to decide who will join your party and who will not, but I feel that the inclusion of Nawab Malika in the party will harm the alliance. There may be loss. Nawab Malik was a minister in the Mahavikas Aghadi government and remained a minister despite his arrest, but our alliance is not like that of Mahavikas Aghadi. Fadnavis wrote in the letter that 'Nawab Malik is an MLA and it is his right to attend the assembly session. We have no personal enmity with anyone, but we can oppose the inclusion of Nawab Malik in the alliance.

Nawab Malik is an accused in the money laundering case: Reports say that ED had taken Nawab Malik into custody in the money laundering case on 23 February 2022. Malik is accused of allegedly transacting money with underworld don Dawood Ibrahim and his associates in Mumbai. Nawab Malik is accused of buying the lands of Dawood Ibrahim gang at cheap prices. Nawab Malik remained in jail for 18 months and on August 23 itself, the Supreme Court granted him bail on the grounds of ill health.
