- Chopped peanuts, for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
1. To make the dumplings, mix together wheat flour, turmeric, red chili powder, cumin seeds, coriander powder, and salt. Add ghee and mix well. Gradually add water to form a soft dough. Cover and let it rest for 30 minutes.
2. Divide the dough into small portions and shape into balls. Roll out each ball into a thin circle.
3. Cut the circles into squares and set aside.
4. To make the lentil curry, pressure cook the lentils with 2 cups of water until they're soft.
5. Heat ghee in a pan and add cumin seeds. Let them sizzle for a few seconds.
6. Add chopped onion, garlic, ginger, tomatoes, and green chili. Cook until the onion is translucent.
7. Add the cooked lentils, turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.
8. Add the dumplings to the lentil curry and mix gently.
9. Cook for 10-15 minutes or until the dumplings are cooked through.
10. Serve hot, garnished with fresh cilantro, lemon juice, and chopped peanuts (if desired).
