Skoda recently gave a first look at its new compact SUV, Elroq. This car can be positioned below the Skoda Enyaq. The Enyaq is a completely foreign market vehicle. With this new car, Skoda is going to enter the compact SUV segment, which will be their first car in this segment.
Range and price
Skoda's new electric SUV will be able to deliver a range of 560 km on a single charge. If the Skoda Elroc is launched in India, it is expected to be priced around Rs 30 lakh. The main reason for its high price is that this vehicle has been completely manufactured abroad.
Adverse competition
Skoda Elroc can face tough competition from cars like Tata Curve EV and Hyundai Creta EV. Recently Tata Motors has introduced Curve EV in the Indian market. The price of its top model can go up to Rs 22 lakh, which is Rs 8 lakh cheaper than Elroc.
At the same time, Hyundai's Creta EV can also compete with Skoda's new car. This electric car will come in the market in January 2025 and its price is expected to be between Rs 22 lakh and Rs 26 lakh.
Talking about the features
Skoda Elroc can be offered with three battery packs. Its entry-level model Elroc 50 can come with a 125 kW battery pack. Its top model is expected to get a range of 560 km, which can make it a strong option in this segment.
This electric car of Skoda can be given a 13-inch touch screen and 470 liters of boot space. Along with this, the feature of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) can also be included in this car. Along with this, a head-up display, electrically adjustable driver seat with memory and massage function can also be available in Skoda Elroc. Skoda's new Elroc electric SUV can bring a new freshness to the Indian market. Its range, price and features can make it an attractive option for Indian customers. Now it will be interesting to see when Skoda launches it in India and how it gets response from customers.
