Mumbai: In the past few days, communal tension between the two religions has been witnessed in many cities. Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut has attacked the BJP over Saturday's violence in Delhi's Jahangirpuri area on the occasion of Hanuman Janmotsav.  He said that for its own benefit, the BJP is doing politics of riots. Never before in the country have there been riots on the day of Hanuman Janmotsav and Ram Navami. He alleged that riots are being organised in Delhi to win the municipal elections. There is no issue to win the election, so the riots are being resorted to.

Let us tell you that on Saturday, violence was witnessed in the Jahangirpuri area of the capital Delhi due to the procession of Hanuman Janmotsav. Due to this, many people, including policemen, were injured. The matter is being monitored by Home Minister Amit Shah himself. In this incident, Delhi Police has said that even after caste, creed and religion, action will be taken against those involved.

Without naming the BJP's rule at the Centre, Raut said, "In the big cities of the country...  The way there is a stressful situation or such a situation has arisen is very unfortunate. Riots are taking place in the national capital. Delhi is a Union Territory.'' Attacking the BJP, he said, "Now, MCD elections are going to be held in the city. Earlier, the elections were pushed beyond the due date and now there are riots. Whatever is happening now... is happening to win the body elections, because they have no other issue.''
