Vijayawada: Minister Botsa Satyanarayana remarked that the government is making every effort to guarantee that employees' wages are paid according to amended pay scales beginning February 1.
Satyanarayana, government advisor (public affairs) Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, and other members of the ministers' committee met with Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday to discuss the employees' protests against the 11th Pay Revision Commission (PRC).
Later, the minister stated that once the government issued instructions, all requirements such as fitment, housing rent allowance, dearness allowance, and other provisions will be applied.
Despite inviting employees' unions to debate the new payscales, Satyanarayana noted that no one has shown up in the last three days. He asked how the union leaders would go to the PRC with any ideas if they did not attend the sessions. Meanwhile, another day passed with no meeting between the two sides and employees protesting against the PRC.
