Riti Boochra is an educator in and out. However, that is not all! She is also an SRCC alumnus, a best-selling author, a two-time CBSE national topper, a lawyer and a content creator. She was recognized and credited for her academic acumen in 2010 by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. In simple words, she takes from her experiences to impart knowledge.
Today, her nascent venture, Learn English with Riti, teaches the twists and turns of the English language to over 190,000 followers.
Into her humble beginnings
It all started when she was a joyous and curious teenager. Her family publishing house served as the first exposure. Here, she took up the tasks of compiling and editing books. However, that is just a precursor. She also co-wrote the Economics references and English language guides. These initiatives spiraled her zeal for education.
However, she did not plunge into being an educator yet. She first pursued her LLB and LLM degrees and proceeded to impart legal knowledge to aspirants hailing from Jaipur and Guwahati.
Using the modern-day tool known as technology
Technological progress is inevitable. Today, technology consumes us. A crucial aspect of modern-day tech is social media, playing second fiddle to our comforts and conveniences. Riti, too, intends to leverage its power to impart her knowledge.
You see, the education space is a hotbed for innovation. Educators are continuously contemplating new and updated methodologies for fueling better academic performance and learning among their students. To this end, Riti leveraged the power of social media by launching her Instagram page (@learnenglishwithriti) in July 2020, during the Covid-19 lockdown.
Tapping into the English language proficiency
Riti’s inclination toward the English language began with her observation and experience of how the people around her used the English language. She witnessed people making fundamental errors in conversation and written scripts. This gave her the idea to create a community of fellow learners and teach them English in a systematic and organized manner.
To this end, she also conducts social service initiatives as an educator. Riti teaches the language to underprivileged children for free and is a prominent part of some NGOs.
