Dehradun: Former Uttarakhand CM and veteran Congress leader Harish Rawat has targeted the BJP. Harish Rawat, who arrived at VIP Ghat in Haridwar on Thursday evening, described Rahul Gandhi as Abhimanyu and said that he will break the BJP's cycle. Harish Rawat, who arrived at VIP Ghat near Har Ki Pauri in Haridwar, submitted his application to Mother Ganga in connection with the allegations levelled by wrestlers against former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.
This application has been given to Harish Rawat by players from Haryana. While handing it over to the Ganga, Harish Rawat said that the world is seeing the insult of the wrestlers who won gold medals for the country. These are the same players who have made India proud all over the world. Today, the central government is treating them like enemies. Harish Rawat said that the BJP government should immediately remove Brij Bhushan Singh from his post. Harish Rawat has announced that soon the Congress will run a campaign in support of these wrestlers from the banks of the Ganga.
On the completion of nine years of the BJP-led central government, Harish Rawat said that these nine years have proved to be years of weakness and not achievement. The country has lagged behind in many issues including inflation, unemployment, corruption and the people will give a befitting reply to the BJP this time. Wrestlers have been protesting at Jantar Mantar in Delhi for a long time. They are constantly demanding the arrest of BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. In the past, he had talked about throwing his medals in the Ganges, but later he handed over his medals to Rakesh Tikait's brother Naresh Tikait.
