Jaipur: After the temblor in the politics of Rajasthan, a new crisis has arisen in front of the Congress government of the state. This ruckus has arisen regarding the new districts to be created in the state, about which the rhetoric and lobbying have intensified. According to the latest developments, there is a tussle between a Congress minister and MLA regarding the announcement of the new district, where Sainik Welfare Minister Rajendra Singh Gudha Udaipurwati (Jhunjhunu) and Suresh Modi are pushing for making Neem Ka Thana (Sikar) a district.
Apart from this, many other MLAs are also raising their voice regarding new districts in their assembly constituencies. Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot can announce new districts in the coming budget, but before that, the tussle has intensified. It is noteworthy that at present there are 33 districts in Rajasthan and the state-level committee constituted by the government is brainstorming about the new districts. According to the information received, the government committee has so far received proposals to create 60 new districts in the entire state, which will be presented in front of CM Gehlot after making a report.
The announcement of new districts is considered important in view of the Rajasthan assembly elections, where Gehlot will have to take care of the displeasure and equations of the MLAs with the new districts. Let us tell you that the last new district in Rajasthan, Pratapgarh was created on 26 January 2008 and comes under the Udaipur division.
