Bhopal: Chief Minister Kamal Nath has denied the possibilities of participation of private companies or contractors in the production and supply of nutritious food by the Madhya Pradesh government. He told that our government is committed to making Madhya Pradesh completely malnutrition free. Government has also ensured that private companies and contractors will have no role in the production and supply of take-home rations under integrated child development projects.

This information was told by the Chief Minister in a statement released on Sunday that in the production and supply of take-home rations for children, pregnant and midwifery women, MP Agro has been clearly directed with the decision of the Cabinet that in any way No role of private company and contractor should be determined. The government is committed to formulate policy and order in the order passed by the Supreme Court and MP High Court regarding the production and supply of nutritious food. Another Panchayat and Rural Development Department Additional Chief Secretary Manoj Shrivastava has said that it has generally been a tradition that orders are issued only after the decision of the cabinet is written to the departments from the Chief Secretary. The order was issued without waiting for such a decision. The first order has not been sent to any department. The order to supply nutritious food to private company is closed only after I took office in December. Whatever was the order regarding the cabinet, it has been issued.

The surprising thing on this whole matter is that the cabinet decision has been changed later even after the negative comment of Finance and Women and Child Development Department. The cabinet should resign. If the government also gave an affidavit in the same High Court set up to enable women self-help groups, then what was the pressure of private companies that the Chief Secretary has changed this decision. An IAS officer had to leave the job. So the Chief Minister should answer this. Taking a dig at the Kamal Nath government, Shivraj Singh questioned whether this was not a devious attempt to violate the directions of the High Court? These were the three orders, in which there was talk of banning private companies and then removing the point of ban in the final order.
