Bhagalpur: A portion of a bridge (Bhagalpur Bridge Collapse) being built at a cost of Rs 1700 crore in Bhagalpur, Bihar, suddenly collapsed on Sunday evening.   Since then, the political mercury has been rising rapidly. The BJP has attacked the Nitish Kumar government. This bridge was being built on the River Ganga. There has been no report of any casualty so far due to the collapse of the Aguwani-Sultanganj Bridge News connecting Bhagalpur to Khagaria district. After the video of this incident in Khagaria surfaced, the opposition has attacked the government.   After this, Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav (Tejashwi Yadav) and Additional Chief Secretary of Road Construction Department Pratyay Amrit also held a press conference in a hurry. In this, he told that there were flaws in the bridge, that is why it is being demolished.

Tejashwi Yadav has said about this, "Let me remind you that on April 30 last year, a part of this bridge had collapsed. After which, we have also approached IIT-Roorkee, known for its expertise in construction matters, to conduct a study. Its final report is yet to come. However, experts studying its structure had informed us that there were serious flaws in it."

Meanwhile, the opposition party BJP has demanded the resignation of CM Nitish Kumar in this case. Bihar BJP president Samrat Chaudhary said the incident showed that "corruption is rampant" under the Nitish Kumar-led Bihar government. He has said about this, Substandard material has been used in the construction of the bridge. CM is not at all concerned about the development of Bihar... He is busy on his tour. He should resign from his post after this incident. BJP leader and former Bhagalpur MP Syed Shahnawaz Hussain blamed "corruption" for the incident and demanded a high-level inquiry into the incident.
