Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a visit to Chhattisgarh and Telangana, where he will unveil an array of transformative projects in these two states, both of which are gearing up for upcoming elections. According to a statement released by the Prime Minister's Office, Modi will undertake the inauguration and foundation stone-laying ceremonies for numerous development initiatives valued at over Rs 26,000 crore in Chhattisgarh, as well as more than ₹8,000 crore in Telangana. Notably, one of the highlights of this journey is the inauguration of NMDC Steel Ltd's cutting-edge steel plant in Nagarnar, located in Bastar district, a monumental step that aligns with the vision of 'Atmanirbhar Bharat.'
This state-of-the-art steel plant, constructed at an investment exceeding Rs 23,800 crore, represents a groundbreaking greenfield project geared towards producing top-tier steel products. Its establishment is poised to generate substantial employment opportunities, benefitting both the plant workforce and ancillary and downstream industries. Moreover, it promises to thrust Bastar onto the global steel industry map while simultaneously catalyzing socioeconomic progress in the region.
In harmony with the Prime Minister's commitment to bolstering rail infrastructure nationwide, he will also launch a series of railway projects within the state. This includes the inauguration of a new rail line connecting Antagarh and Taroki, as well as the doubling of the rail line between Jagdalpur and Dantewara. Additionally, the foundation stone will be laid for the Boridand-Surajpur rail line doubling project, alongside the redevelopment of Jagdalpur station. Numerous other rail initiatives are also slated for commencement.
In Telangana, Modi will mark the inauguration of the first 800 MW unit of Phase 1 at the Telangana Super Thermal Power Project under NTPC. This power station will significantly reduce the cost of electricity in the state, bolstering its economic development while adhering to stringent environmental compliance standards.
Furthermore, the state's rail infrastructure will receive a significant boost, as the Prime Minister will dedicate rail projects such as the new rail line linking Manoharabad and Siddipet and the electrification projects encompassing Dharmabad-Manoharabad and Mahabubnagar-Kurnool.
In a concerted effort to enhance healthcare infrastructure in the state, Modi will lay the foundation stone for 20 critical care blocks (CCBs) as part of the Pradhan Mantri - Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission. These critical care blocks will be constructed across various districts including Adilabad, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Jogulamba Gadwal, Hyderabad, Khammam, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Mahabubnagar (Badepally), Mulugu, Nagarkurnool, Nalgonda, Narayanpet, Nirmal, Rajanna Sircilla, RangaReddy (Maheshwaram), Suryapet, Peddapalli, Vikarabad, and Warangal (Narsampet). This endeavor reflects the government's unwavering commitment to enhancing healthcare accessibility and quality across the region.
