GUJRAT: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said  on Wednesday that India's education system would advance by the launching of 5G telecom service into the next level in the country.

The Mission Schools of Excellence programme of the Gujarati government was introduced by the prime minister at Adalaj town in Gandhinagar district.

Even if English is only a language for communication, he made the point that knowing it is seen as a sign of intellectualism. "The 5G service will extend beyond smart buildings, smart classrooms, and smart instruction." It would advance our educational system, the prime minister declared. To ensure that individuals who are unfamiliar with English are not left behind, he favoured the use of regional tongues.

English language proficiency used to be seen as a sign of intellectualism. The English language is merely a tool for communication in reality, the prime minister said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 1 launched the 5G telephonic services, boosting an era of ultra-high-speed internet on mobile phones.

Mukesh Ambani earlier at the beginning of this month said that  Reliance Jio's 5G services will be available pan India by December 2023. "India may have started late, but will finish first...will have the best quality and most affordable 5G services."
