Brent crude oil in the international market is above $85 per barrel. However, the prices of petrol and diesel are stable in the Indian market for a long time. At the national level, no change has been seen in the prices of Petrol-Diesel across the country even today i.e. on January 28, 2023. Crude oil had come around $75 in the initial days of the month. Then there was a hope that the prices of petrol and diesel could come down in the country, but the price of crude oil has started rising once again, due to which the expectation of oil becoming cheaper seems hard at the moment. 

However, Petroleum Minister Hardeep Puri has recently appealed to the oil companies to reduce the prices of petrol and diesel. Petrol is being sold at Rs 96.72 and diesel at Rs 89.62 per liter in the national capital Delhi today (Saturday), January 28 as well. At the same time, petrol in Mumbai is Rs 106.31 per liter and diesel is Rs 94.27 per liter. Apart from this, the cost of petrol in Chennai is Rs 102.63 per liter and diesel is priced at Rs 94.24 per liter. At the same time, petrol is being sold at Rs 106.03 per liter and diesel at Rs 92.76 per liter in Kolkata.
