Chhath Puja is starting from 7 November 2024 this year. This festival is especially the biggest festival of Bihar and Jharkhand, which is celebrated with great pomp all over the country. Chhath Puja has special significance in Hinduism, and this festival starts from Chaturthi Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month and continues till Saptami Tithi. Beginning of Chhath Puja

1. Importance of Arghya
Women observing fast should not eat anything without offering water to the Sun God. On the first and second day, they should eat food only after offering water to the Sun. During this time, women observing fast should sleep on the ground.
2. Use of utensils
Any kind of silver, steel and plastic utensils should not be used in the puja. Use only earthen stove and utensils in this puja.
3. Purity of Prasad
While preparing the prasad for the puja, do not make it impure even by mistake. Do not eat anything before preparing the prasad.
4. Pay attention to cleanliness
Take special care of cleanliness during the puja. Wear clean clothes during the 36-hour fast and puja. Touch the puja items only with clean hands.
5. Avoiding food
Do not consume non-vegetarian food, garlic and onion during Chhath Puja. Do not eat at the place where Prasad is prepared.
6. Restraint on speech
Those who observe Chhath fast should control their speech. Do not use abusive language against anyone, otherwise the puja will not yield results.
