Ingredients for making Poha Cheela
- 1 cup Poha
- 1/2 cup curd
- 1 cup finely chopped onion

- 1/4 cup green coriander leaves
- 1-2 finely chopped green chillies
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- salt to taste

Method for making Poha Cheela
- firstly, wash the poha thoroughly and then soak it in water for 15 minutes.
- Strain the soaked poha and place it in a plate.
- In a large bowl, add soaked poha, curd, onion, carrot, coriander leaves, green chillies, ginger paste, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder and salt. Mix all the ingredients well.
- Heat a non-stick pan on medium flame. Apply some oil in the pan.
- When the oil is hot, spread a spoonful of the mixture in the pan. Cook it until it turns golden and crispy on both sides.
- Once cooked, take out the Poha Cheela in a plate and serve hot with green chutney or curd.
Tips to enhance the taste
- You can also add vegetables like peas, capsicum, etc. as per your choice to make Cheela.
- If you want a low calorie cheela, then instead of oil you can cook it by sprinkling some water.
