The craze for electric vehicles is constantly increasing in India. Every day new electric car models are entering the market, which include new technology and updates. Tata Motors is also not behind in this race and has launched many of its electric vehicles in the market.

Recently, on August 7, Tata Motors launched its new electric car Curvv EV in the Indian market. Before the launch of this car, Nexon EV was Tata's most range-giving car, but now Curvv EV has taken over this place.

Why are Nexon EV buyers now moving to Curve EV?

According to media reports, Tata Motors dealers say that customers who were earlier planning to buy Nexon EV are now getting attracted towards Curve EV. This is happening because Curve EV comes with new technology and better range. In many places, dealers are also advising customers to buy Curve EV instead of Nexon EV.

Top-end variant of Nexon EV: What's special?

The top-spec variant of the Nexon EV is Empowered +LR, which has a 40.5 kWh battery. This variant offers a range of 465 km on a single charge. Its ex-showroom price is Rs 19.29 lakh and the on-road price is around Rs 20 lakh. At present, a discount of up to Rs 1.50 lakh is also available on this variant, due to which its price can come down to around Rs 19 lakh.

Curve EV variants and their popularity

Now let's talk about Curve EV, whose demand is increasing rapidly. The ex-showroom price of its mid-range variant is Rs 18.49 lakh, while the on-road price is Rs 19.50 lakh. This variant has a 45 kWh battery pack, which gives a range of 502 km on a single charge.

The top-end variant of the Curve EV comes with a 55 kWh battery, which is capable of delivering a range of 585 km on a single charge. The ex-showroom price of this variant is Rs 19.25 lakh and the on-road price is Rs 20.20 lakh.

Why are people liking Curve EV?

If seen, the range and price of the top-end variant of Curve EV is much better than Nexon EV. While the top-variant of Nexon EV gives a range of 465 km, the mid-variant of Curve EV offers a range of 502 km. Apart from this, the mid-variant of Curve EV is also cheaper by about Rs 50 thousand than the top-variant of Nexon EV. Tata  Motors' Curve EV has emerged as a new option in the Indian market. Its better range, new technology and attractive price have attracted customers. There are many reasons to prefer Curve EV over Nexon EV, and it seems that in the coming time, Curve EV will make even more noise in the market.
