NEW DELHI: The NDA government is set to present six important bills during the upcoming Parliament session, which will run from July 22 to August 12. Among these, the Finance Bill 2024 is anticipated to propose various tax reforms.

In addition to the Finance Bill, the government plans to introduce The Disaster Management (Amendment) Bill, The Boilers Bill, The Bhartiya Vayuyan Vidheyak, The Coffee (Promotion and Development) Bill, and The Rubber (Promotion and Development) Bill.

The primary focus of this session will be the presentation and discussion of the Union Budget for FY25. This will be closely watched in light of the NDA government's reduced numbers following the recent general elections.

  • Finance Bill 2024: Expected to propose new tax measures and changes.
  • Disaster Management (Amendment) Bill: Aims to clarify and streamline the roles of organizations involved in disaster management.
  • Boilers Bill: Seeks to update and modernize outdated regulations from the pre-independence era.
  • Bhartiya Vayuyan Vidheyak: Proposes to simplify and update the Aircraft Act of 1934, aiming to improve the business environment for airlines and support domestic manufacturing.
  • Coffee and Rubber Bills: Designed to boost the domestic coffee and rubber industries, and facilitate better growth and marketing of these crops both locally and internationally.
