Amaravati: Union Minister V Muraleedharan attacked Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday for allegedly engaging in appeasement politics in the state, saying  that his government has remained a "mute spectator" to communal violence.

"There is an increase in the activities of Muslim fundamentalists - PFI and SDPI - in Andhra Pradesh, particularly in the Kurnool region, and they are making deliberate attempts to incite communal turmoil. SDPI and PFI goons have killed a large number of BJP workers in Kerala "Muraleedharan asserted on Monday.

"It is well-known that such anti-national groups seek to incite violence and sow fear. Their target has always been BJP and RSS workers "Additionally, the Union Minister stated.

Muraleedharan stated that in Andhra Pradesh, violence against BJP workers is common, and the ruling YSRCP has never condemned communal violence. "What occurred in Atmakur is not unprecedented. The Jagan government has remained a passive observer of such activities. This is pure vote bank politics, he said.. B Srikanth Reddy, the Kurnool district president who objected to such heinous trends and opposed the illegal construction of a mosque in Atmakur, was arrested."
