According to Anil Yadav, SHO of Rajiv Gandhi police station, at a bend about 2 km ahead of Keru, minister Saleh Mohammad's car collided with a truck transporting an LPG gas cylinder while overtaking. This completely damaged a part of the government car. The gunman sitting in the car suffered a minor injury on his hand and the driver also suffered some injuries in controlling the vehicle.
