He further said that this car has been the first choice of people in the hybrid segment and this is the reason why 2 lakh units of this car have been sold.
The company introduced this car keeping in mind the fuel efficiency needs of the people and since its launch, the sales of the car have always been good. The car is supported by an electric motor along with a petrol engine, which helps in increasing mileage. This motor runs on a lithium ion battery.
Maruti Grand Vitara is also very special in terms of features. Its standard variant has many features like 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital driver display, heads up display, panoramic sunroof, wireless smartphone connectivity, wireless charger, ventilated seats, ambient lighting, 360 degree camera, alloy wheels.
The company has also taken special care of safety in this. This is Maruti's first car to come with 6 airbags. Features like ABS with EBD, child lock, anchor points for child seat, overspeed warning, speed sensing door lock, anti-theft engine immobilizer, middle rear three-point seatbelt, flashing emergency brake light, central locking have also been provided in it.
The price of Maruti Grand Vitara starts from Rs 10.70 lakh and goes up to Rs 19.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The company has also made it available in CNG. The price of the CNG variant starts from Rs 13.05 lakh. In the market, Grand Vitara competes with SUVs like Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta and Toyota Hyrider.
