Dehradun: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday visited the Kedarnath temple in Uttarakhand's Rudraprayag district and reached Badrinath Dham in Chamoli. First worshipped Mahadev and then Lord Shri Vishnu. Due to his two-day visit to Uttarakhand, Modi has brought many gifts for the state. However, congress leader and former Delhi MP Udit Raj did not like the worship of Prime Minister Modi. Udit Raj, who was once in the BJP, has escalated the controversy by advising the Prime Minister to get involved in removing the "evils of Hinduism". The BJP has termed it as an attempt to woo a particular vote bank.

Referring to the concern expressed by the RSS about conversion, Udit Raj said that Prime Minister Modi is spending more time in pilgrimage sites nowadays. He demanded a change in the Prime Minister and said that Modi should give full time to remove the evils of Hinduism. Udit Raj tweeted, "RSS in Prayag Raj is upset that conversion is taking place. Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Kedarnath for the sixth time today. Nowadays, most of the time is being spent in pilgrimage sites. RSS should spend all his time on Modi Ji to end the evils of Sanatan Dharma so that conversion stops and makes the Prime Minister someone else.''

BJP spokesperson Shahnaz Poonawalla has expressed strong objection to Udit Raj's statement and linked it to the Gujarat elections. He said, "Another example. From Shivraj Patil to Udit Raj, these statements are not a coincidence, but a vote bank experiment and industry. Ahead of the elections in Gujarat, there is a competition between the Aam Aadmi Party and the Congress as to who can polarize the vote bank with fanatical Hindu hatred.
