Shivpuri: On Saturday night, thieves raided a Congress leader's house in Bachhaura area of Kotwali police station area of Shivpuri district of Madhya Pradesh and cleaned hands with goods worth lakhs of silver, including cash. On receipt of the information on Sunday morning, police reached the spot and recorded the statement and started investigation in the case. A case has been registered against unknown thieves.

While giving information about the case, Kotwali police station TI Badam Singh Yadav said that on Sunday morning, Prakash Sharma, a resident of Bachhaura, had informed him that thieves had stolen goods worth lakhs by breaking into his house. After this, the police reached the spot and inspected the house and registered a case against unknown thieves and started their search. He told that Prakash Sharma is a senior leader of Congress and has also been the district president of the party.

Police said that Prakash Sharma had bought a mobile and 50 silver coins and kept them in the house to give his father a birthday present. But last night the thieves cleaned hands on coins, mobiles, 14 thousand rupees cash, microwave, etc. The price of the bagged goods is said to be around two lakh rupees. On getting the information, SDOP Shiv Singh and FS team in-charge Harisingh Barhadia also reached home and took cognizance of the case. At present, the police are raiding places in search of thieves.
