Bhopal: The corona epidemic in Madhya Pradesh has shaken the financial condition of the government along with the health of the people. In the midst of this global epidemic, the situation of the state exchequer remains the biggest challenge in front of CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan, who has to take loans repeatedly.

Recently, the Shivraj government has taken a loan of Rs. 2000 crores from the market for a period of 20 years at 6.76 per cent annual interest rate. Shivraj was sworn in as the CM of the state for the fourth time on 23 March. This is the 17th time in the last 9 months when the Madhya Pradesh government has taken a loan from the market. The total debt of the market on Madhya Pradesh is more than 2 lakh 11 thousand 89 crores.

At the end of the year 2018, this loan was 1 lakh 80 thousand crores. This figure has reached 16,500 crore rupees in the current financial year after the recently taken loan of Rs 2000 crore by the Shivraj government. This may affect the public in the form of increased tax. Please tell that in Madhya Pradesh, the maximum tax is being charged by the government at this time on petrol and diesel than other states of the country.
