Bhopal: Currently, people will not get the benefit of Indira Gruh Jyoti Yojana launched for electricity consumers in Madhya Pradesh. In this scheme, electricity consumers have been given the facility to pay electricity bill of 100 rupees if 100 units of electricity is consumed. However, if you burn more electricity than this, the bill will have to be paid at the current rate. About 90 lakh power consumers of the state will have to wait longer for this benefit.
Power companies have not updated the software for reading and billing at the normal rate for consumption up to 100 units and 50 units after that. Consumers will also have to pay electricity bills according to the increased rate in October. Software update work is going on for all three Madhya Pradesh Power Distribution Companies.
After the software update, it will be loaded on the spot billing machines. Where these machines are not present, it will be updated on computers. In this process, the whole September can pass. Therefore, after the electricity readings at the end of this month, the bill will come in accordance with the new rates introduced in August. On receiving the bill at the new rate, consumers will have to go to the power office to get it corrected. After this, if there is more bill, then there is a provision to adjust it.
