The by-elections witnessed the INDIA alliance uniting its forces, particularly in the Ghosi constituency of Uttar Pradesh, where voter turnout was moderate at approximately 50.77 percent. Similarly, in Jharkhand's Dumri, a substantial 64.84 percent of the 2.98 lakh eligible voters exercised their right to vote. Among these seven contested seats, three were previously held by the BJP, with one seat each belonging to the SP (Ghosi), CPI(M) (Boxanagar), JMM (Dumri), and the Congress (Puthuppally).
