Khandwa: There was a stir at the railway station on Friday evening at around 5 o'clock. The goods train of LPG tankers which left for Ratlam from Konkan railway reached Khandwa station. A gas leak from a tanker here caused chaos. As soon as the information was received, Collector Tanvi Sundriyal and SP Dr. Shivdayal Singh had to take charge. The station's power line was shut down due to gas leakage.

However, a special team has been called from Pithampur to prevent leakages. Around 4 o'clock in the evening, the goods train stopped at platform number two of Khandwa station with LPG tankers. After standing here for about an hour, the railway employees noticed a gas leak from a tanker standing under the bridge on platform number two. On getting information about this, there was a stir at the station. GRP, RPF and station personnel became active.
