According to the Panchang, the Chaturthi date of Krishna Paksha of Bhadrapada month will start at 01:46 pm on August 22, 2024 and will end at 10:38 am on August 23, 2024.
Worship of Ganapati Ji has special importance in the month of Bhadrapada. Lord Ganesha was born in this month, and the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated on the Chaturthi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada. The puja method on the day of Heramba Sankashti Chaturthi is as follows:
Bath and purification: On this day, wake up at sunrise and take a bath and wear clean clothes. Wearing yellow clothes is considered auspicious.
Ganesh Puja: Worship Lord Ganesha ritually and take a vow to fast. Offer flowers, fruits, vermilion, whole rice, garland and durva to Ganesha during the puja. Offering modaks to him is also very auspicious.
Light a lamp: Light a ghee lamp in front of Lord Ganesha and chant the Ganesha mantra.
Aarti and Arghya: At the end of the puja, do the Aarti of Lord Ganesha. Complete the fast by offering Arghya to the moon at night.
