Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer BYD has recently introduced a new version of its new electric sedan 'Seal'. BYD has made its place in the global market by leaving behind many traditional engine (ICE) brands. This new sedan competes with Tesla's Model 3, and it is available in two versions: single motor and dual motor version.

Performance and Battery

Talking about the top-end performance of the BYD Seal, it accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.8 seconds. It gets a large 82.5kWh battery pack, which can cover a distance of 400-450 km on a single charge. However, the official range is 580 km.

If the battery gets discharged, then with 15 minutes of charging you can cover a distance of 200 kilometers, making it a good option for long journeys as well.

Features and technology

The new BYD seal incorporates several advanced features and technologies:

  • Lidar Sensor Module : A lidar sensor module is installed on the roof of the car, which improves ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) function.
  • Upgraded Suspension : It features an upgraded chassis and optimal suspension system that improves comfort, stability, handling and suspension setup.
  • Damping Control System : The top-spec AWD variants also feature an Advanced Damping Control System.

Interiors and Comfort

The interiors of the new BYD Seal are also very modern and customised:

  • Flat Bottom Steering Wheel : It has a unique four-spoke flat bottom steering wheel.
  • Centrally Mounted Floating Touchscreen : A large centrally mounted floating touchscreen that comes with rotation function.
  • Wireless Charging Pad : A minimalist center console and wireless charging pad are also available.
  • Hidden AC Vents : A neat dashboard design with hidden AC vents.
  • W-HUD Head Up Display and Airbags : All variants get W-HUD Head Up Display and 13 airbags as standard.

BYD's new SEAL is a stunning electric sedan that offers a premium driving experience with advanced technology and excellent performance.
