King Charles III, accompanied by Queen Camilla, has been on a discreet visit to Bengaluru since October 27. This marks the king’s first trip to the city as a monarch, though he had previously visited multiple times as the Prince of Wales, establishing a close connection with the vibrant Garden City of India.

The royal couple opted for a peaceful retreat at the Soukya International Holistic Health Centre (SIHHC) in Whitefield, Bengaluru, where they have been indulging in wellness treatments and enjoying a break from their busy schedules. Their arrival was kept under the radar, with no formal state reception at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) airport, as their visit aimed to be private and low-key.

During their stay, King Charles and Queen Camilla have participated in morning yoga and rejuvenating therapies designed to promote relaxation. They have also enjoyed meditation sessions and meals prepared on-site, with long walks through the centre’s serene landscapes providing an opportunity to unwind in nature.

King Charles has a personal connection to SIHHC, where he celebrated his 71st birthday with a private gathering. This current visit is his tenth, further underscoring his appreciation for the holistic approach and treatments offered there.

SIHHC, founded by Dr. Issac Mathai and Dr. Suja Issac, specializes in a variety of traditional wellness practices, including Ayurveda, Naturopathy, Acupressure, Yoga, and Homeopathy. The centre has become a wellness destination for many, blending traditional therapies with modern wellness practices.

The royal couple’s stay is set to conclude on October 30, leaving a lasting impression of their appreciation for holistic wellness and deepening their bond with India.
