New Delhi: Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, on Tuesday, May 24, embarked on a nationwide to seek support from the Opposition parties against the ordinance brought by the Centre on the transfer of bureaucrats in New Delhi.

Kejriwal said on Twitter that he would be embarking on a national trip to advocate for the rights of Delhi's citizens. After several years, the SC issued a ruling that granted the citizens of Delhi rights. However, the national government passed an ordinance that removed all of those rights. When the law is brought before the Rajya Sabha, it should never be permitted to pass. I'll visit with the leaders of every political party to enlist their assistance.
Kejriwal will meet Mamata Banerjee, the leader of the Trinamul Congress (TMC), today. As per AAP sources, he will meet Sharad Pawar, the head of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), on May 25, and Uddhav Thackeray, the leader of the Shiv Sena (UBT), on May 24.
This follows the Union Government's adoption of an ordinance on May 19 that set forth guidelines for the GNCTD's "transfer posting, vigilance, and other incidental matters."
The Supreme Court's ruling in the Centre v. Delhi case is disregarded by the ordinance, which was introduced to amend the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi Act, 1991.
The AAP national convenor had earlier on Saturday referred to the action as "undemocratic and illegal" and claimed that it "attacks the basic structure of the Constitution." The National Capital Civil Service Authority (NCCSA) has been established by the law for the first time, and it will have the authority to approve transfers and postings for all Group A officers and DANICS officers working in Delhi. The Delhi Chief Minister will serve as the NCCSA's chairman, and the Delhi Chief Secretary and Principal Home Secretary will make up the other two members.
The Lieutenant Governor (LG), who is designated as Delhi's administrator under the ordinance, would have the last word about all postings and transfers involving officials working for the Delhi government.
