MUMBAI: The Jio Institute announced on Tuesday that it has begun inviting applications for its one-year full-time post-graduate programmes (PGP) in developing fields like as "Artificial Intelligence and Data Science" and "Digital Media and Marketing Communications."

The institute is a multi-disciplinary higher education centre founded by Reliance Industries and Reliance Foundation as a humanitarian endeavour.  The PGP in 'Artificial Intelligence & Data Science' (AI & DS) seeks to instill theoretical capacities and provide the know-how to generate practical solutions for businesses and society, according to the institute.

"The PGP in 'Digital Media & Marketing Communications' (DM & MC) will assist students in gaining expertise on how to manage the consumer experience in the digital age by engaging, serving, and connecting with them in innovative ways," the institute said in a statement.

"The 'AI & DS' programme is designed for early-career individuals who desire to become full-stack data scientists - well-equipped for a variety of positions including AI researchers, data scientists, industrial and societal entrepreneurs," the statement said.

According to the institute, applying to post-graduate programmes entails submitting an online application form along with all required documents via the 'Apply Now' link on the official website www.jioinstitute.edu.in, paying an application fee of Rs 2,500, and taking the online Jio Institute Entrance Test (JET).

"Multiple-choice questions based on numeric aptitude and verbal ability will be included in the test, as well as a component on writing skills. Candidate can also provide a legitimate 'GRE test' score as an alternative. Candidates who have been shortlisted will be invited to an online interview "the statement read.
