Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has announced the opening of its Open Innovation Hub in Bengaluru, India, aimed at collaborating with startups to shape the future of its products and services. This initiative is part of JLR's ongoing strategy to enhance customer experiences, and it marks the fifth hub established since the launch of the Open Innovation Programme in April 2022.

The India hub will prioritize deep tech sectors, including artificial intelligence, big data and analytics, the Internet of Things (IoT), Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), and various sensors and devices. By fostering partnerships among industry leaders, government entities, and academic institutions, JLR aims to create innovative solutions that enhance its vehicle offerings.

This initiative will focus on optimizing electric vehicle batteries, identifying the best locations for charging infrastructure, and advancing ADAS technologies. Since the inception of the Open Innovation Programme, JLR has engaged with over 2,500 startups globally, leading to 33 formal partnerships.
