Tanahun, Nepal – An Indian passenger bus traveling from Pokhara to Kathmandu fell into the Marsyangdi River near Ain Pahara in Ward No. 2 of Marsyangdi Ambukhareni Rural Municipality on Friday. The bus, which was carrying 40 passengers, veered off the road and plunged into the river near Abukhaireni in Tanahun district.
Tanahun Superintendent of Police (SP) Birendra Shahi confirmed the incident and reported that Inspector Abu Khaireni of the local police office has reached the scene. The army and armed forces have also been alerted and are assisting in the rescue efforts.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation, but rescue teams are working tirelessly to recover the passengers and ensure their safety. Efforts are being coordinated between local authorities and emergency services to manage the situation effectively.
